Job Title : Multimedia Firmware Engineer

Qualification :

Bachelors / Masters degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics and Communication or equivalent

Job description :

QCT is looking for experienced FW engineers interested in working on the embedded system aspects of audio subsystem for mobile phones. Specifically, the position involves developing audio device drivers and developing test bench for the audio sub-system. This position requires a good understanding of audio interfaces, audio signal processing technology and multimedia frameworks. The position is for motivated individuals interested in joining a dynamic organization building the next generation of mobile phone devices.

Responsibilities includes:

Developing software to interact with various audio interfaces

Handle routing and mixing audio streams for multiple concurrent audio devices on a multi-threaded environment.

Developing test bed for end to end audio sub-system.

Debugging the issues on QCT hardware platform using the Lauterbatch

Required Skills :

1.Electrical and/or Electronics degree from the reputed college.

2.Good understanding of audio interfaces, audio mixing and routing.

3.Good understanding of embedded systems, real time operating systems, multi-threaded software development, Computer architecture and Digital Signal processing.

4.Good working knowledge of C language on RTOS enabled environment.

5.Experience in using Lauterbach Trace, ETM etc. .

6.Understanding of Fixed point math and processors is preferred

7.Understanding of some core audio decoder is preferred

8.Has strong self-motivation, can work independently, can work with multiple teams, and willing to learn in a fast paced environment.
