The Opportunity
You will part of a global team providing proactive support for the continuous and efficient running of the Aconex production platform. You will be responsible for the maintenance of all server, storage and network hardware as well as the operating systems and application software.
Your day
• Monitoring the Aconex application to ensure it is available to customers according to defined SLAs.
• Performance analysis of the operating systems and the Aconex application, tuning and adjusting resources as required.
• Provide comprehensive KPI reports for Aconex management and Aconex customers.
• Plan and execute hardware and software systems maintenance.
• Deploy upgrades of the Aconex web application.
• Maintain disaster recovery instances with frequent testing.
Your Experience
To be effective in this role you will possess the following skills, experience and qualifications:
• A tertiary qualification in IT Engineering (or related Engineering discipline) or equivalent experience.
• Proven ability to diagnose problems in a complex mission critical environment.
• Solid understanding and experience with server, storage and network switch hardware including fault replacent and firmware upgrades.
• Solid understanding and experience with Linux operating systems, including the Linux kernel, filesystems, networking, web servers, mail servers, the Linux command line and shell scripting languages.
• Experience with the configuration of enterprise monitoring and enterprise automation technologies.
• Solid understanding and experience with network protocols including DNS, DHCP, NFS.

Applicants will be required to work on a two shift rotation basis (day or afternoon shift) and
will be required to work out of normal hours on an as needs basis.
Candidates may have the potential to advance into the delivery of major infrastructure projects for Aconex.
