Job Title : Software QA Engineer Location : Bangalore, INDIA
About the Role :
As a Software QA Engineer you will take up end-to-end ownership of the designated projects/products and help ensure product quality and customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for the
development and execution of test cases and QA processes that ensure quality throughout the release schedule. You will document test plans, test scenarios/test cases and test results.
Key Responsibilities :
- Test planning and Test Design (Creation of Test scenarios/Test Cases)
- Preparation of Test environment
- Execution of Test cases
- Identification, reporting and tracking of defects
- Enhance code coverage testing
Qualifications :
Required Experience/Skills & Education :- Should have at least 1-4 years of experience in software testing domain
- Bachelor Degree or Master’s Degree in Computer Science
- Expertise in Black box testing techniques & methodologies
- Knowledge in Automation – QTP/PERL/C#
- Strong in OS/Windows Concepts like File systems, Services & Processes, Registry and hands-on experience in partitioning, OS installation, and Imaging/VMware.
- Expertise in analysis and troubleshooting
- Exposure to network fundamentals
- Very good analytical, testing & technical skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Proactive, positive work attitude
- Strong customer focus
- Knowledge in non-functional testing (performance, security, reliability etc)
- Unix/Linux knowledge will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of 1 year of development experience in C, C++, C#
- Experience in Whitebox testing techniques and exposure to cppUnit
