  • HTML5 Developers:
  • Hand on experience HTML 5, Sencha touch, Jquery mobile, CSS3, JavaScript,
  • AJAX Experience on building mobility solutions
  • Mobile web or mobile resident hybrid applications like Blackberry /Android / iPhone
  • Must demonstrate experience in developing hybrid mobile client applications using Phonegap or any other cross platform.

Job Title : Application Support Engineer

Job Location : Bangalore

Job Summary

Do you have a strong technical background in Control Theory, Embedded Systems, Signal Processing or Software Design?  Are you motivated by an environment that supports continuous learning?  We are looking to hire bright, self-driven engineers with advanced degrees to join our Engineering Development Group (EDG) at MathWorks. Our focus is on teamwork, collaboration and continuous learning in an open, fun and encouraging environment.

Qualifications Required / Preferred

  • Masters (M.Tech/ M.E/ M.S) or Ph.D. in Engineering  (Any discipline with Controls/ Embedded/ Signals/ Web Development background) or Computer Science
  • Strong academic record
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Strong math & programming skills and knowledge of at least one operating system
  • 0-3 years of relevant work experience
  • Skills in model based design and/or production code generation
  • Self-starter with strong commitment to learning and personal development
  • Flexibility to work a rotation schedule within the hours of operation

Responsibilities

The Application Support Engineer (ASE) is an entry level position in the Engineering Development Group within the Technical Support Department of MathWorks India. An ASE’s job is divided into two central responsibilities – Application Support and Collaborative Project Work, which provides you with a variety of skills, practical experience and career advancement:
  • Application support - Involves providing appropriate solutions to customer reported issues in a wide spectrum of products (MATLAB & Simulink product lines), applications and industries. In addition, you act as a customer advocate by providing feedback to our development organization on customer needs, thus enabling continuous improvement of our product lines.
  • Collaborative Project Work -Is a career advancement tool available to you where you can discover your professional interests and goals through a variety of projects with multiple departments. For projects, you have the flexibility to choose from various areas of engineering including Development, Quality Engineering, Application Engineering, Training Services and much more.
Through your choice of technical projects, training and career coaching, you will be able to contribute to different MathWorks departments and accelerate developing your technical leadership skills. On average, you would spend about 1-3 years in EDG before transferring to another department within the company working in a position of your choice.
