CMFRI recruitment notification 2014 for 120 posts all over India

The Central Marine Fisheries Research Institute was established by Government of India on Feb 3rd 1947 under the Ministry of Agriculture and later joined the ICAR family in 1967/1971.During the course of 65 years journey the Institute has emerged as leading global marine fisheries institute from a mere taxonomic and statistics mandate. One of the major achievements of CMFRI over the entire span of existence is the development and refinement of unique National Marine Fishery data base “Stratified Multistage Random Sampling” method unique to India. With this methodology the Institute is maintaining national marine Fisheries data base from 1950 with a landing of about 5,00,000t to about 38,50,000 tons in 2012 comprising about 200 species along the entire coast covering about 8000 km.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA



Technician : 

  • Essential : Matriculation with at least one year certificate from recognized Institute in the field of fisheries
  • Desirable : One year experience/training in the relevant field

Technical Assistant : 

  • Essential : Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences including Fisheries Science from a recognized University
  • Desirable : One year experience/training in the relevant field

Skilled Staff :

  • Essential : Matriculation or equivalent pass (or) ITI pass

Pay Band : 

  1. Technician : Rs. 5,200-20,200 + Rs. 2,000/- (Grade Pay) plus usual allowances as admissible under rules.
  2. Technical Assistant : Rs. 5200-20200 + Rs. 2,800/- (Grade Pay) plus usual allowances as admissible under rules
  3. Skilled Staff : Rs. 5200-20200 + Rs. 1800/- (Grade Pay) plus usual allowances as admissible under rules
