3. Eligibility Criteria: 
1. Educational Qualifications (as on 01-07-2016): Essential: (i) A Master's Degree in Economics with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters / years from a recognized Indian or Foreign University / Institute; OR (ii) A Doctorate Degree in Economics with Master's Degree in any subject with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters / years from a recognized Indian or Foreign University / Institute. 
2. Note: ST and PWD candidates having second class with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters / years in Master's Degree examination or equivalent recognized qualifications are eligible to apply.  
3. Desirable: Research or teaching experience in Economics or publications in standard journals would be considered as an additional qualification. 

Post 2 :Officer in Grade 'B' for Department of Statistics and Information Management (DSIM)

1. No. of posts : 8 (Gen-4, SC-2, ST-2) 
2. Job Requirements : To undertake collection, compilation, analysis and interpretation of data from various sources, undertake statistical analysis involving modern statistical/econometric models, empirical testing of data etc., to undertake conceptual and methodological studies on various types of statistics relating to money and banking, prices, saving and investment, national accounts, index numbers, etc., designing and organizing of large scale sample surveys and to undertake systems analysis and computer programme development and processing on the Bank's Computer Systems. 
3. Eligibility Criteria: 
1. Educational Qualifications (As on 01-07-2016): Essential: (i) A Master's Degree in Statistics/ Mathematical Statistics/ Mathematical Economics/ Econometrics/ Statistics & Informatics from IIT-Kharagpur/ Applied Statistics & Informatics from IIT-Bombay with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters / years; OR (ii) Master's Degree in Mathematics with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters / years and one year post graduate diploma in Statistics or related subjects from an institute of repute; OR (iii) M.Stat. Degree of Indian Statistical Institute with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate of all semesters / years.
2. NOTE: For SC, ST and PWD candidates, the minimum marks required in Master's Degree as in items (i), (ii) and (iii) above is 50% or an equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters/ years. 
3. Desirable: (i) Candidates with a Doctorate in topics related to above subjects will be given preference. (ii) Research or teaching experience and publication in standard journals will be considered as an additional qualification. 

Age (as on 01-07-2016) : 

Between 21 and 30 years (candidates must have been born not earlier than 02/07/1986 and not later than 01/07/1995).Age relaxation as per norms.

Scheme of selection :  

Selection will be through Written Examination and interview. There are 3 papers for Written Examination and it will be held on 27 & 28 August 2016.

Survey of India notification for recruitment of 117 Topo Trainees Type 'A' (T.T.T.'A')

Applications are invited from the Indian Nationals to fill up 117 posts of Topo Trainee Type 'A' in Survey of India at the GDC's/Directorate/Offices. Applications completed in all respects alongwith attested copies of certificates, mark sheets and testimonials duly signed and filled in the prescribed format should reach the Director of the concerned Geo-Spatial Data Centre/ Directorate/Offices on or before 21-02-2015. Scale of pay : 

F 5200-20200 + 1900 Grade Pay together with DA and other allowances as admissible to Central Govt. employees during the period of training which is normally about 2 years. On successful completion of training they will be fixed in the scale of F 9300-34800 + 4200 Grade Pay plus DA and other allowances.

Place of work : 

The employment is with the liability to serve anywhere in the Union of India including military service with a mobilized Survey unit. Besides working in Office, the nature of work involves extensive field work in remote/far flung areas.

Educational Qualification : 

Candidates must have passed B.Sc. with Mathematics from a recognized University. The candidates must have good stereoscopic vision. The candidates possessing less than 45% for General Category and 40% for SC/ST/OBC in B.Sc. examination need not apply.

Age : 

The candidates must be between 18 to 27 years of age (18 to 32 years of age in case of SC/ST Candidates and 18 to 30 years of age in the case of OBC) as on the last date of receipt of applications. The upper age limit is also relaxable for retrenched Central Govt. employees/Departmental candidates/Ex-servicemen and other eligible categories as per rules.

Methods of Selection : 

Selection will be based on written tests in Mathematics, English, General Knowledge with Science to be held at the above Centers under overall supervision of requisitioning authority. Stereoscopic Fusion Test and personal interview will be conducted only in respect of those candidates who qualify the written test. The concerned Appointing Authority reserves the right to limit the number of candidates to be called for the interview by finding an appropriate cut off percentage of marks obtained by them in written test.

Incomplete applications and those forwarded in violation of these instructions shall be rejected without any further notice/correspondence.
