Role :
Healthcare IT – Specialty Solutions leadership has secured
investment to develop Radiology engineering teams for Next Generation Imaging
and Enterprise Imaging Solutions. The SDET (Software Design Engineer in
Testing) will be critical to developing quality code for our customers. This
SDET develops test cases, maintains and executes test cases. S(he) is involved
in all facets of qualifications, including environmental, HALT and Performance
testing.
Responsibilities :
Specific responsibilities include:
- Coding and Troubleshooting unit / integration or behavior test cases.
- Create and/or maintain test infrastructures that support test inventories.
- Design test cases and target to automate most of the test cases.
- Execute test cases and report defects for non-conformance.
- Participate in technical design discussions, and contribute to the design.
- Analyze requirements, escalate non-testable requirements. Work with Sr.
Software Engineers to develop good testable design.
- Authorized to make a decision to pass/fail the test case based on observed
results.
- Complying with QMS work instructions to document test case results in the
DHF.

1. Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System,
Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations
as they apply to this job type/position
2. Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined
deadlines
3. Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate
corrective action as required
4. Ensure compliance/closure of Regulatory and Quality requirements before
approving Design Outputs/Program Deliverables
5. Lead continuous improvement activities by driving the implementation of
process and product quality improvement initiatives
Qualification and Eligibility :
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical engineering or Electrical Engineering or Industrial Engineering or Computer Science or Bachelor’s Degree and 2 years experience within technical discipline or equivalent (defined as High School Diploma/GED and 4 years progressive experience as an engineer or scientist within the appropriate field of study)
- A strong interpersonal skillset, including good technical communications.
- Hand-on coding experience in programming languages like Java or C# or C++
- Working knowledge of Relational Database Management Systems like Sybase, SQL Server or Oracle
- Experience building test using JUnit, JBehave or NUnit
- 0-4 years experience in development or testing.
- Experience with agile development
- Experience with automation tools like Coded UI, QTP, Load Runner, TestCover, etc.
- Experience configuring and installing products.
Desired :
- 5-8 year experience in an engineering field, including 2 years of experience as a Product or Test Engineer. In-depth understanding of qualification equipment, test procedures and industry requirements.
- Experience in a regulated environment e.g. FDA
- Prior Experience in healthcare or medical device products
- Previous project or team leadership experience.
- Experience with statistical data analysis tools.
- Ability to write reports and procedure manuals, and to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and engineers.
