Position Description 

Job Summary: 

The Trainee Software Engineer is an entry level position. Trainee Software Engineer will go through several months of extensive training on various software products and platforms.  This position is within the Game Development organization and assists on the creation of compelling game experiences for casino products.  The primary responsibility of this position includes learning how to develop and test software products and troubleshoot and debug software defects. This position must demonstrate a high degree of initiative and is accountable for the thorough implementation of all tasks assigned. The Trainee Software Engineer reports to, and is directed by, the Lead Engineer.

Essential Job Functions: 

 Assist in developing Code for assigned tasks based upon architecture, specifications and requirements.

Deliver quality work with clear, well-commented code as scheduled in accordance with technical design and product requirements.

Works with, and develops relationships with, other team members as needed to meet team goals.

Develop a working knowledge of WMS’s code libraries (FW, Featurette’s, OS services).

Develop a working knowledge of WMS’s development environment, tools, and utilities.

Position Requirements 

Qualifications: 

Education: 

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent from a reputed institute or university.

Required Experience: 

No professional experience required with a Bachelor’s degree

Academic experience using Object Oriented programming.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: 

Good aptitude.

Good problem solving techniques.

Good understanding of Software Engineering Concepts.

Understanding of Data Structures.

Understanding of Object Oriented Programming.

Knowledge of C++ or any object oriented programming language.
