Job Overview
============
This position is responsible for the expert technical knowledge of and ability to accurately and effectively implement product of chosen expertise within the client environment.

Key Responsibilities
====================

* Utilize CA Services Best Practices to accurately and efficiently implement product of chosen expertise within the client environment.
* Effectively troubleshoot technical product implementation issues for product of chosen expertise.
* Ability to interact with CA Support in order to open and track product issues when necessary.
* Actively engage as part of the project team with the purpose of contributing product expertise and to learn the various components required to deliver a successful client engagement, following the Project Manager (when applicable) directive.
* Meet target billable utilization objective as assigned for this role.
* Adhere to Time and Expense Policy as posted on QMS.
* Adhere to CA Policies of Code of Conduct/Ethics; Security and required training available at LMS.


Typical Role Definition

Professional Staff. Works under general supervision. Has learned the fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of a particular field of study, not yet the formal application of these concepts, practices, and procedures.

Administrative Staff. Provides administrative or technical support at an administrative support specialist level. Highly proficient in a broad range of activities related to their job. May be designated as a ‘lead’ employee in a larger work group with many similarly skilled and assigned individuals or to mentor to more junior technical or administrative support personnel. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish assigned tasks.

* Generally works without consulting their manager.
* Independent decisions are made daily.
* * Decisions regarding product installation.
* Decisions regarding product configuration in client environment.
* Decisions regarding technical troubleshooting process.


* Typically has no direct reports.
* Typically has no total staff.
* Typically has a geographic focus of Region (APJ/EMEA/LA/NA).
* Typically does not manage a budget.


Business Travel and Physical Demands
====================================
Business travel of approximately 75 or more percent yearly is expected for this position.
Physical demands:
* Office environment. No special physical demands required.


Preferred Education
===================
Bachelor's Degree or global equivalent in Computer Science or business related field.

Work Experience
===============
Typically 0 to 2 years of work experience are required for this position. Educated in Information Technology and prefer a minimum of 1 year experience at an IT professional services or software/hardware organization.

Skills
======

* Demonstrate ability to engage in hands-on implementation of software technology.
* Execute a minimum business level of written and oral professional communication in local language and/or English.
* Possess basic technology troubleshooting skills.


Certifications
==============

* Within first 90 days must achieve CA product training and certification in chosen CA product of expertise as agreed to by your Manager.
* External hardware, operating system or specific technology certifications are a plus.
* Must maintain updated training as required annually.
