Experience in Perl and Shell Scripting in Unix / Linux Experienced in Migration Projects Preferably from Sybase to Oracle Experience onshore - Offshore model Experience in Java 5/6, Sybase (T-SQL), Oracle, Oracle Coherence 3.7, RHEL Linux 5.9 desired

Essential Job Functions :

• Identifies customer purchasing requirements and provides technical specifications and related documentation to assist the business development staff in the sale of products and systems.
• Assists in creating demonstration software and systems to showcase products and systems.
• Responds to customer inquiries concerning system software and applications, pre-sale and post-sale. Refers as necessary to appropriate personnel.
• Assists in testing user configurations for system compatibility. Provides support in the resolution of system malfunction and/or refers as appropriate.
• Monitors and records system installation/maintenance progress to document progress and matters of significance.
• Interacts with engineering groups to assist in basic design changes to equipment. Assists in tracking the progress of the projects with accountability to the customer, project manager and management to ensure an on-time and smooth product launch for the customer.

Qualification and Experience :

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or related field preferred
• Zero or more years of applications engineering, field support or technical sales experience
• Experience working with overall department/account business objectives and goals
• Experience working with operating systems
• Experience working with software tools including compilers, assemblers, debuggers and simulators
• Experience working with assembly languages such as HTML programming, MySQL, C, C++, etc

Job Qualifications :

Education : 

• BSEE/MSEE (Masters degree is preferred) Familiar with VLSI design, HDL Synthesis, VLSI testing and design for testability. 

Experience :

• Experience with design, simulation, verification of ASIC/VLSI circuits and systems, design verification and product test generation preferred.
• In-depth understanding of Design for Test (DFT) structures is required. 
• This includes scan based testing, Memory BIST, Logic BIST, and Boundary Scan (1149.1). Knowledge of scan data compression methodologies desired. 

Preferred experience in specific areas : 

• Operating Systems : UNIX, Linux, Sun Solaris. 
• Languages : Verilog (Behavioral, RTL, gate level), VHDL (Behavioral, RTL, gate level), Perl, C/C++. 
• CAD Tools : Synthesis, Simulation, ATPG, Memory BIST, Logic BIST, Boundary Scan. Familiarity with FastScan, FlexTest, LBISTArchitect, MBISTArchitect, and BSDArchitect a plus. 
• Strong trouble shooting skills and ability to break a complex problem into its components. 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
