all business areas of Target with critical data analysis that helps
team members make profitable decisions. Become a forecast expert,
business analyst or team lead and utilize tools like decision trees,
clustering, regression, time series, structural equation modeling,
linear programming, genetic algorithms, SAS, SQL, VBA and OLAP.

thinking and visionary goals. As a Trainee Developer BI, you'll take the
lead as you
- With limited guidance and help, develop and support
reports and databases in required tool (like MS Access, MS Excel,
WebFocus, MicroStrategy) as per the specification given through the
various documents like requirements, design and conference calls.
- Create or Modify design and requirement documents as per the discussions with business users and Project Leads.

Follow coding standards to ensure the projects developed/changed not
only follow business requirements but also are in compliance with
standards.
- Adhere to existing best practices and contribute towards creating newer best practices.

Test reports and databases and provide proper level documentation
before delivering any new or changed functionality to business users.
- Update on regular basis to project owner on progress and escalate issues being faced.
- Partner with other team members to learn and share knowledge / learning.
- Follow development/process methodology as decided for the project (e.g. Target System Development - TSD)
Requirements- Graduate degree in Engineering/Computer Science/MIS or related area.

Campus hires or less than 1 year experience in development (preferably
BI report development or MS Access) areas covering many areas from
design, table construction, screen development, data input and
integration, and reporting.
- Strong theoretical knowledge in RDBMS Concepts and basics of SQL (DDL, DML, joins, grouping, sorting etc)

Strong theoretical knowledge in any one programming language concepts
(Loops, Conditional structures), knowledge of data structures (Arrays,
Vectors, Lists, Trees, Queues etc) and understanding of modular
programming (Functions, Procedures, Sub-programs etc)
- Proven experience of successful completion of Report development and/or database application development projects in past.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Good analytical and problem solving skills.
- Flexibility - to be able to adapt to fast changing environment.
- Good attitude and believes in team success.
- Desire and aptitude to learn. Able to translate learning from one project to the next
