| The Industry Solutions Services team are looking for a Developer/ Services Engineer who has expertise in translating IT requirements in the design, development, and assembly of components to create custom information systems. Typical examples of the deliverables are functional and technical designs, models, components, code, unit tests, and documentation. We are looking for an IT Specialist who can primarily apply their technical skills in an internal or external customer billable services and implementation environment. Responsibilities will include: Working closely with IBM Customers worldwide to design and implement Smarter Cities solutions based on IBM's Industry Solutions technology including IBM Intelligent Operations Center (IOC), Intelligent Water and Intelligent Transportation. The work may be on a customer site, so traveling availability is essential. Participating in pre-sales activity to demonstrate to customers the value of IBM solutions relating to Smarter Cities. Requirements BSc, MSc or PhD Commercial development experience in Java At least 3 years strong experience in designing or implementing integration environments ideally based on IBM's Websphere and Tivoli technology At least 3 years experience in taking Customers requirements for an integration environment and building an appropriate solution to meet these needs. Excellent analytical & problem solving abilities Excellent communication skills Ability to travel is essential |
