Overview

To enhance the skills of Scheduled Caste(SC) / Scheduled Tribe(ST) candidates of Andhra Pradesh state and empower them to participate in IT development community, the Department of Electronics and Information Technology (DeitY), Ministry of communication & Information Technology (MCIT) Govt. of India has initiated and is actively supporting the programme on High skill training in IT for SC / ST Students. Center for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), the premier R & D organization of the Department of Electronics and Information Technology, Ministry of Communications and IT, Government of India, is one of the institutions, in line with its R&D strengths, that will train students under this scheme at its Hyderabad Centre. The training programmes have been designed to prepare the students so that they reach and join the IT development community. Center for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), the premier R & D organization is one of the institutions which has been entrusted by DeitY, to empower SC & ST candidates for employment opportunities in IT. Under this scheme, the training programmes are being imparted to the students to enhance their skills in IT and empower them to participate in IT development community. The training under this project shall be conducted at C-DAC, Hyderabad Under this scheme, The IT training is offered with 100% course fee waiver for the SC & ST candidates of Andhra Pradesh. 

Aim and Scope of the Project/Training

• To provide High end training to selected engineering and postgraduate students of SC and ST category of Andhra Pradesh
• Provide extra trainings like personality development, communication skills, computer basics and fundamentals
• Mentor support to this set of selected members (SC and ST candidates) to help them acquire skills trained and empower them to participate in IT development community
• Placement assistance

The objective of this project

To empower the SC and ST students to reach and join the IT development community by providing financial support, provide special skilled trainings apart from regular study.

C-DAC, Hyderabad is a Knowledge centre with the components of Knowledge Creation, Knowledge Dissemination, Knowledge Application to grow in the areas of Research & Development, Training and Business respectively. The R & D areas of the centre are e-Security, Embedded Systems, Ubiquitous Computing, e-Learning and ICT for Development

The centre has developed over a period of time a number of products and solutions, such as EnSafe, RealSafe, e-Sikshak, e-Savya, CET Automation Tool, Quality Assurance Analytics Tool for e-Learning etc. The centre has established a number of labs in cutting edge technologies like e-Suraksha Concept Lab, Malware Resource Centre, Ubiquitous Research Centre, Walk-in e-Learning Technology Laboratory, etc.

Fees:

A Demand Draft for Rs. 100/- (for each post)  issued from any Nationalised Banks drawn in  favour of C-DAC  Hyderabad and payable at Hyderabad is to be enclosed. Candidates are advised to write their name, application no., address & contact no. on the reverse side of the DD. No application fee needs to be paid by the candidates belonging to SC/ST/Physically Challenged category.  If any fee (DD) enclosed/submitted by the above category, will not be refunded.
