Responsibilities

  • Work with a team of data science & analytic professionals , create actionable analyses of customer behaviour and deliver results and recommendations to technologists and business partners
  • Apply statistics and data management principles to create meaningful graphical content from Complex data
  • Define and execute data mining and machine learning projects to improve customer experience
  • Designs and implements innovative, pioneering data-driven insights building proof of concepts which solve complex banking problems
  • Monitor and apply emerging new technologies in the field of Data Science and Big Data and make recommendations for technology adoption to senior management, conducting POC studies as necessary on specific technology tools.

Requirements :

  • Education : BE / B.Tech/ MCA/ M.Tech/ M.Sc /degree in statistics or economics
  • 5 to 10 years of IT experience
  • At least 2 years strong experience in a development role in Visual Analytics by using Tableau reporting tool and at least 5 years of Data management experience working with large Data warehousing and Data Management environments.
  • Knowledge of Map/Reduce, Hadoop, Hive, Pig, Impala etc.
  • Knowledge of relational databases and SQL
  • Knowledge of at least one scripting language (Python or PHP is preferred)

Desired skills :

  • Knowledge of analysis tools; e.g. R, Mahout, Weka, SAS, etc

SELECTION PROCEDURE :

Phase-I :
Examination consisting objective tests for 200 marks and descriptive test of English knowledge for 50 marks. The objective test will be online. Immediately after online objective test, Descriptive test will be administered. Cadidates will have to answer Descriptive test on paper/Pen mode.
  • Objective Test : 
The Objective Test with 2 hours 30 minutes duration consists of 4 Sections as follows:
    1. Test of English
    2. Test of Data Analysis & Interpretation
    3. Test of Reasoning
    4. Test of Financial Awareness &, Marketing
The candidates are required to qualify in each of the Tests by securing passing marks, to be decided by the Bank.
  • Descriptive Test of English knowledge: Time- 60 minutes
Candidates who are 40th percentile and above in each of the four objective type tests and with an aggregate 35% minimum marks as also 35% marks (minimum) in descriptive examination will qualify for Group discussion and Interview. Bank may decide, at its discretion, to reduce abovementioned qualifying marks. Depending on the number of vacancies, a merit list of qualified candidates will be drawn up and candidates will be called for Group Discussion and Interview [Phase-II] subject to maximum three times the number of vacancies.
Phase-II 
Group Discussion & Interview (50 marks)
The qualifying marks in Group Discussion & Interview shall be 35% (minimum 18 marks) out of 50 marks (combined marks for Group Discussion and Interview). Bank may decide, at its discretion, to reduce the qualifying marks for Group Discussion and Interview.



Final Selection

The candidates will have to qualify both in Phase-I and Phase-II separately. Marks secured by the candidates in the Written Test (out of 250 marks) are converted to out of 75 and marks secured in Group Discussion & Interview (out of 50 marks) are converted to out of 25. The final merit list is arrived at after aggregating converted marks of Written Testand Group Discussion & Interview out of 100 for each category. The selection will be made from the top merit ranked candidates in each category. Results of the candidates who have qualified for Phase II and the list of candidates finally selected will be made available on the Bank's website.

Date of exam : The examination will be held on 23.02.2014

  1. SC / ST / PWD : Rs. 100/- (Intimation Charges only)
  2. OBC Rs. 500/- (App. fee and intimation charges)

Reserve Bank of India notification for graduates as Assistant Manager (security)


Applications are invited for the post of Assistant Manager (security) in Reserve Bank of India (RBI/ Bank) from Indian citizens, citizens of Nepal and subjects of Bhutan, Tibetan refugees (who came over to India before 1st January, 1962) and persons of Indian origin who have migrated from Myanmar and Sri Lanka with the intention of permanently settling in India and in whose favour Eligibility Certificates have been issued by Government of India. 

Eligibility Criteria :

Experience (as on 01.11.2013) :

(i) The candidate should be an Officer with a minimum of five years of Commissioned Service in the Army/Navy/Air Force
OR
(ii) The candidate should be of the rank equivalent to Assistant Commandant with minimum five years service in Paramilitary Forces such as Border Security Force, Central Reserve Police Force, Assam Rifles, Indo-Tibetan Border Police, Central Industrial Security Force, Sashastra Seema Bal, Defence Security Corps, National Security Guard, Railway Protection Force, Rashtriya Rifles, Special Protection Force, Commando Battalion for Resolute Action, Special Frontier Force and Home Guards.

Age (as on 01.11.2013) :

Between 25 and 40 years (no relaxation for any category). The candidate must have been born not earlier than 02/11/1973 and not later than 01/11/1988 (both days inclusive).

Scheme of Selection :

Selection will be through Interview. The Board reserves the right to raise the minimum experience in order to restrict the number of candidates to be called for Interview, commensurate with the number of vacancies. The place and date of interview will be advised to the shortlisted candidates in due course.

APPLICATION FEE (NON-REFUNDABLE) :

  • 100/- (Rupees one hundred only). 
  • No fee is payable by SC/ST/RBI Staff candidates.

Pay Scale :

  • They will also be eligible for Dearness Allowance, Local Allowance, House Allowance, Family Allowance, Grade Allowance as per rules in force from time to time. 
  • At present, initial monthly gross emoluments are approx. Rs. 39,249/-. 
  • Further, Pay Protection, as per Government of India instructions, will be provided to the selected candidates.
